THE DRIVETRAIN...

The motor on our project car is going to be about a third of our budget. The fuel injected 502 chevy crate motor turns out 502 HP straight out of the box, buuutttt, we want to add a Vortex Supercharger for another 150 HP!! That 652 HP on pump gas. The blower only comes on when you mash the pedal. The fuel injection we'll make the car managable for cruising around town or out on the highway. But mash that gas pedal and look out! The 650+ HP will set you back in the seat.

Again, to make the car more managable we'll be using a TH-700R4 automatic transmission. With it's electronic overdrive it'll be great gas mileage, and still be strong enough to handle the 650 horses.
